There are staircases in the bottom floor and the family bedroom of the zamindar on the top. Previously, there were wooden stairs leading up to the top. Zamindar Girjakantha is known about the first time he was a naib in Jhamar (Mohammadpur, Magura). When he was the owner of a lot of money from Chandpur, Chandrara established the zamindari. His funeral was Keshab Chandra Chand. Jamidar had three sons, the name of two sons was known to be the eldest son Mukhopadhyay and younger son Shibu Prasad Mukhopadhyay. During the time Madhumati river was in front of the zamindar house. Manikantha Mukherjee was a neighbor of Gorkhakta Mukhopadhyay. He had another neighbor Moni Nandranath. The ruins of Mani Nandranath's house are still visible. Some parts of Zamindar's house have disappeared in Madhumati.
During the liberation war of 1971, the landlord, Gorkhakanta Mukhopadhyay, went to India on a Swarupir. He did not return from there. Following the independence of the country, the government of Bangladesh has subdivided the land of zamindar girjakantha mukhupadhyaya as alkaline land office of Alfadanga upazila.
